Some key notes to remember here are: Ramblin Man is written in G major. The actual
recording is in Ab so if you want to be able to play along with the record, you'll need some slow
down software that will allow you to change the pitch of the song down 1/2 step. (I recommend
the Amazing Slow Downer ).
This song is in a major key so we'll be using Pentatonic Boxes II and III (from SCALE SHAPES
BOOK II) and also our old minor Pentatonic Box I (from SCALE SHAPES BOOK I). It's very
important that you know which box you are in as you move through the solo. (For a review of all
5 pentatonic boxes click HERE.)
You'll also be able to play the solo over the 'rythmn' video so that should help if you want to be
able to 'jam along.'
If you've misplaced your copies of the rythmn or lead sheet you can download a new PDF by
